The holiday season slowed down domain name sales, but still, our top listed domain did not disappoint. Advance.com was sold to Advance Publications Inc, an American media company, for $300,000. Another .com came second — TCP.com which cost $133,000 followed by Cave.com for $61,450.
As for ccTLDs, Zoom.ca claimed the top spot at $22,100. At a significantly lower price, the second spot was occupied by F.gg and Klarstein.es amounting to $12,931 and $10,022, respectively. Actually, the .ca extension dominated the top 20 sales chart with four domains while .de came second with three entries. The top-selling .de domain was OnlineBox.de for $7,568. The attractive name cyberSecurity.net sold for $ 4,701 as well.
Now that 2017 is here, it remains to be seen whether the sale trends of the previous year will grow or will be replaced by the new.
