Neustar, the registry operator that manages, markets and supports the .nyc domain namespace announced that it will auction off 24 .nyc domains online starting on 1 February 2017 and closing on 24 February 2017. Full auction details can be found at Auctions.nyc. The sale will coincide with New York Fashion Week which kicks off on 9 February.

The premium domains that will be available include Clothes.nyc, Couture.nyc, Rings.nyc, Fashion.nyc, Deals.nyc, Models.nyc, Shop.nyc, Designer.nyc, Shoes.nyc, Runway.nyc, etc.

This is the second theme-based premium auction. The first was in late 2016 when 20 real estate .nyc domains were auctioned including Realestate.nyc which sold for $21,300. More auctions in sectors such as technology, healthcare, law and food are expected.

The new gTLD .nyc was first launched in 2014 with the support of local authority representatives and business owners to become the largest city domain in the world used across two-dozen industries.
