In the biggest domain sale for the year so far, the price for the domain name HG.com hit $3,770,000. It was acquired by Chinese wine company WanJiahuan Gou in a private transaction. HG.com redirects to the company’s current website at WJHGW.com, but the new domain is definitely a major step forward for the online corporate visibility of the company.
Another high point from the end of November 2016 was the perfect new gTLD keyword- extension combination of auto.loan which sold for impressive $45,000.
The domain sales in the country extensions also did well. The Belgian Telefoonhoesjes.be (phone cases) was sold for $18,000 on Undeveloped.com.
There’s just one month left in the 2016, so we’ll see if December sales can top these record-selling domains.
